Marrakech Accommodation

If you wish a 5 star  Marrakesh accommodation, you may enjoy the Es Saadi. Most of the rooms face the Atlas Mountains and the hotel is filled with incredible luxury, even though it is very close to the old town of Marrakech, the medina. It boasts 7 different gourmet restaurants as well as proudly presenting the Casino de Marrakech.

Also high on the accommodation list is the four star Imperial Holiday, the three star Agdal, and finally the two star Riad Alexandra.

Of course there are many hotels that at not in the 5 star Marrakech accommodation sector. The lower cost accommodation is most often found in the medina, which is the walled "city within a city" portion of Marrakech. There, you will also discover many tourist attractions consisting of palaces, mosques with their beautiful minarets and the ubiquitous fountains. Thus staying in the lower cost accommodation locations may make it easier for you to sightsee. This is also the district that boasts many smaller markets and also while there you can find the best artisans of the city. Minarets are everywhere you look. This neighborhood has many "pedestrian only" streets because they are too narrow for cars and even beasts of burden such as burros. The streets tend to wind in serpentine fashion that can be very easy to get lost in, so be sure to know where your Marrakech accommodation can be found!

In Marrakech there exist many riads. Riads are traditional in Marrakech, and they are best described as homes or palaces that are built around an interior garden. Riads traditionally have all the rooms open to the courtyard, which then affords a tranquil view as well as offering the ultimate in privacy to the family or the guests. Many of the larger riads have now been converted into the Marrakech equivalent of bed and breakfasts, or even into quaint small hotels. Some are even restored palaces that have been lovingly restored so as to present them to you in all their historically correct appointments as perhaps Marrakech apartments. At times, riads are also referred to as guest houses.

Imagine being able to call a 16th century restored riad your home for your sojourn in Marrakech! Yet, you can have such comforts as reverse cycle air conditioning, a small swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Internet access, and satellite TV too!

In Marrakech there are also many lower cost hostels many of which are located in renovated riads, and therefore they may boast luxurious suites and not the typical dormitories that most people think of whenever the word hostel is mentioned, though some do, of course. .

Do not forget the many 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom self-catering Marrakech apartments that can be rented in Marrakech as well.  Many of these are incredibly well-appointed as well as being finely located either in riads, that are in the newer parts of Marrakech, or even in some of the restored riads in the medina.

Regardless of where you call home when staying in Marrakech, you will find that the people of Marrakech will do their best to make you feel welcome and you'll be treated exceptionally well.
